Choose the right paint
- Before you start painting, it is important to choose the right paint for the doors. There are different types of paints available, such as synthetic enamel, acrylic paint, and water-based paint. Prepares the doors
- Start by removing all handles, locks and hinges. It then cleans surfaces to remove dirt and grease;
- Sands the entire surface of the doors to ensure better paint adhesion;
- Protects adjacent areas;
- Before starting painting, protect the areas adjacent to the doors, such as walls and floors, using Barbot Smooth Tape and Quick Cover. This will prevent unwanted paint splatters, making it easier to clean up later.
Apply the paint
- Now, it’s time to apply the paint to the doors. Use a quality brush or roller to achieve an even finish. Start with the most difficult areas, such as the corners and reliefs, and then paint the larger areas. It is recommended to apply two or three coats of paint, respecting the drying time between each of them, in the case of a 2-in-1 product (primer and finish), otherwise, the painting scheme would be, one primer and two finishing.
