Here are some of the issues that most commonly arise, along with Barbot’s answers.

Sand the surface down to the wood. Apply two coats of Prodexor Water-based Varnish (catalogue colours) or two coats of Prodexor Water-based Varnish Exteriors Colourless.

Remove the rust with Barbot Anti-rust. Apply two coats of Iron Enamel (gloss enamel for direct application on oxidised surfaces) or Wrought-iron Effect Iron Enamel (wrought-iron effect enamel for direct application on oxidised surfaces).

Power wash the exterior wall with water, to remove any loose paint. If the surface is contaminated with fungi or verdigris, disinfect it with Barbot’s Biochoque Cleaning Solution.

Apply a coat of Isocril Sealant diluted 50% with Thinner 1425. Repair splits and cracks and, if necessary, smooth the surface with Waterproof Filler (up to 3 mm thick) or Super Fachadas Masonry Repair compound (no limit on thickness). Apply a coat of Barbolite Primer (anti-alkali and helps adhesion).

Depending on the type of finish intended, follow the following steps:

  • Smooth Finish – Apply two coats of Barbocril Plus paint (Water-based).
  • Waterproofing Elastic Finish – Apply two coats of Dioflex Paint;
  • Textured Finish – Apply two coats of Silicor Paint (conceals irregularities).

Wash roof tiles with Biochoque Cleaning Solution by Barbot. Make the tiles water-repellent by applying BarbotArt AcquaRepele.

Painted Surfaces: apply a coat of Water-based Anti-stain Primer. Apply a finish coat identical to the original. Protect the surface with Protection (facilitates removal of future graffiti).

Unpainted surfaces (tiles, stone, bricks, etc.): remove the graffiti with Cleaner. Protect the surface with Protection (facilitates removal of future graffiti).

Sand the surface. Apply a coat of Universal Undercoat. Apply two coats of gloss enamel Barbolux (colours can be tinted with Barbotmix), In & Out (can also be tinted using Barbotmix) or Hiperlux Enamel (can also be tinted using Barbotmix).

Apply BarbotArt Dura (stone hardener) to the stone that is crumbling. Restore and rebuild cornices and pieces of stone with Super Fachadas Masonry Repair (limitless application thickness). Make the stone water-repellent, applying two coats of BarbotArt AcquaRepele.

Power wash the surface with water. If the surface is contaminated with fungi or verdigris, disinfect it with Biochoque Cleaning Solution. Make the brick water-repellent by applying BarbotArt AcquaRepele.

Power wash the surface with water. Strip the existing paint using Diodec Stripper. Apply a coat of Multi-surface Primer. Apply two coats of gloss enamel Barbolux (colours can be tinted using Barbotmix).

Seal joints with the paintable sealant Sintex MS 35. Apply two coats of gloss enamel Barbolux (paint can be tinted using Barbotmix), In&Out (can also be tinted using Barbotmix) or Hiperlux Enamel (can also be tinted using Barbotmix).
